Upcoming Films - Easter Holidays...

Seeing as most people have some time off for Easter it is the perfect time to go to the cinema again...  Obviously the cinemas will mostly be flooded with popcorn nonsense as the kiddies are at home from school.

There are some upcoming films that look intriguing though:

Trance (Danny Boyle) 2013

The latest film from the director of Trainspotting and Shallow Grave is a heist film with a psychological twist.  The whereabouts of the coveted piece of art is hidden in James McAvoy's mind.  Features Vincent Cassel in villain-mode.







The Place Beyond The Pines (Derek Cianfrance) 2013

Another film with Ryan Gosling playing a quiet yet pensive criminal/stunt rider.  This time with corrupt police officials and Eva Mendes

Spring Breakers (Harmony Korine) 2013

A weird spring-break road movie from the twisted genius of Harmony Korine.  This could be hit-or-miss but if it shines a light on red-state America as eerily and awkwardly as his earlier films such as Gummo it could be brilliant.






Post Tenebras Lux (Carlos Reygadas) 2013

A serious film to end on.  A potentially beautiful Mexican film with lofty themes and immense visuals.  It has already started to pick up awards such as the coveted Best Director accolade at the Cannes Film Festival.
